I love hearing country radio playing country Christmas songs... but what's with all the non-country songs stuck in there too? I heard Billy Squier on the country station!
But, to be honest, this doesn't really bother me that much. It's like, at this time of year, anything goes.

Part of the problem?
Some of the people who work in the country music industry do not like country music. Those who are pushing the music to radio programmers may actually prefer listening to pop or rock. It's just a sad state of affairs. To them I say: get a job in Top 40. We don't need you.

Joe Nichols
I heard Joe on the radio tonight talking about his new album. His voice is so richly country, I can't pass it up. BUT, I am irritated because you can only get a bonus song if you buy it at Wal-Mart then download the bonus song from their website. And to make matters worse, you can only get a DIFFERENT bonus song if you do the same procedure at Target!
What a pain in the ass!
I downloaded a song from Wal-Mart once. Once. It was a Gretchen Wilson song that was only available there. It took about 15 tries to get the song to play on their weird mp3 player, and I couldn't put it in iTunes or burn it to a CD. So what's the use?!
But anyway, both of these artists are country enough (for now) that I shouldn't really complain.
